Common Dreams

“To sleep, perchance to dream”, getting a good night’s rest and having sweet dreams was just as important in Shakespeare’s time as it is today. Some dreams can be amazing experiences, whilst others leave us relieved it was just a dream! If you want to sleep well, be sure to have a bedroom that offers calm and relaxation. Here are some of the most common dreams and what they mean:

Falling

This is a common theme for dreamers and can indicate several different things. A dream where you fall could indicate issues in your life you are unsure of or are worried about failing at. It can also be as simple as an irregular heartbeat while you sleep.

Being chased

Whilst pretty scary, these dreams are incredibly common. They are thought to symbolise trying to escape your fears. If chased by an animal, it can mean you are trying to escape certain desires, for example.

Teeth falling out

Perhaps you are subconsciously worried about your appearance or afraid of things you have said or might feel embarrassed by. Losing one’s teeth is indicative of losing one’s power and the ability to be decisive and assertive.

Flying

These dreams can be extremely fun and exciting. The meaning behind such dreams could be a desire to be free and liberated or to get away from the strains and constraints of everyday life. Generally, flying dreams are a positive experience and if you are able to control the flight, could represent a lucid dream.

Taking a test

Dreams about being late for a test or failing a test are very common and can denote a fear of failure.
